abused dog....

my next door neighbours physicaly abuse their dog....i can hear them hitting/kicking him when im in th part of th house thts furtherest away from theirs.he is absolutely gorgeous, a real sweetie, tho hes scared of anyone who comes near him.what does it take for spca to come help him? i remember ringing them bcoz some guy was making his dog sit in th middle of th the road n trying to run him over....n they didnt do anything, said it wasnt bad enough for them to worry about. dont know wether i should bother ringing them or not..... should i?

the spca havent done anything bout the dog. said they cant see it because of the fence n they left th people a note but thats all they can do. now i dont know how to help it

i rung them!

took me a while, due to reasons, but i did it. said its hard to prove coz he doesnt have ne physical evidence of abuse but th fact tht he cowers when someone goes near him mite hopefully help, n th fact ht hes on a lil chain all day. said theyll send the inspector over when they can. hoping they take him away from those horrible poeple!!!! he he, they didnt look after their little tiny kitten either, was in terrible,terrible health, so i stole him, well, i dont call it stealing, i say i rescued him. but yeah.o, n i didnt even really steal him, he wouldnt leave me alone. hes gorgeous. but yeah, the spca are going to ring me when they go and see th dog to tell me whats happning

Real abuse.

You may have seen this dog, it is in usa. The animal rights people are trying to get the owners jailed but they may get off. This POOR pitbull bitch jumped the fence so the owners locked her in her kennel and SET IT ALIGHT. The photos were disgusting and the poor dog had to be put down. You dont want to know the extent of the injuries it would make you SICK! (Trying to get them jaied... animals have no rights which sucks and maybe god made his mirror image, GOD.|.DOG!)

SPCA money grabbers

I have 4 dogs and they are lovely everyone says. I have never hit them except once because he was going to seriously injure himself being silly. As for the money grabbers, they are pathelic. They will only help if the animal is seriously hurt. Try offering them some money to do something about the dog and watch them JUMP!

I remmeber in Lower Hutt we just didn't have SPCA there was refuge's etc just ring your local vets and they will put you on tosomeone.... thats a no go, people llike that should even have animals.. they should be charged.

I'd ring the SPCA again

and the local dog control, and keep on pestering them until something is done about it. Some people are so weak they are cruel to animals to make theirselves feel better, those people should be shot!

You do need advice

Hi Elisa, you did well to ask for advice. But you probabaly need better advice than we can give to ensure the safety of this animal. Please call the SPCA and if they can't come ask them what else you can do. They may have ideas on getting evidence. They are animal lovers and they will do their best depending on the cirucmstances. You can trust them. Boomerang is right too. If it is really bad and you are worried call the Police on 111. You have too because the dog can't and he needs your help. Good luck. I wish I could help more. And do let us know how you get oen. There are lost of really nice people here and they will be worried too until they hear he is safe.

got help for that poor dog. If not, why not? Poor dog can't help itself so you must do whatever it takes. Steal the dog if need be.[Maybe I should say, "borrow" the dog when owners aren't home, forget where you got it from, and take it to an SPCA out of your area so there is no way the owners can get it back.]Worked for a cat.
