Does anyone have a dog that gets carsick?

If you do, how do you deal with it? I have one dog that loves going in the car but my one year old will throw up everytime and so i've stopped taking them in the car as much which isn't fair to my older dog.

Ginger

ginger helps to settle the tummy. Otherwise hold back from feeding slow journeys and time does help.

Car Sickness

Our dog was the same but I agree with the message "Time". The vet said it was because she was nervous. I used to take paper bags with me which she obligingly vomited into. But she's great now. We did very much the same as Gypsy and Bruno except perhaps for shorter lengths of time. She expects a ride in the car now.

Sea Legs

Sealegs work wonders,if going on a long trip I give 1 tablet the night before, otherwise give early in morning of travel. Eventually they grow out of it.

My dog gets sick too

She cant go 10-15 mins without throwing up, which was really bad when I was taking her to puppy training (a few years ago). I was told to give her sea sickness tablets (sealegs) that you can get from the chemist, and use the child dosage. It worked. I cant remember how many hours before the car drive i was supposed to give it to her, but I'd just follow the instructions on the packet. More dog vomit in the car!
