Diodectic Mange

Don't know whether I've got the spelling right. But, this kind of mange makes dogs drop their fur, bleed scabby etc. It is passed on (so I understand from the TV) by either the mother, or at time of mating and is probably not treatable.
Only other thing I can think of is massive Vit A deficiency which causes early cataracts and skin lesions. If the person is continuing to breed dogs whether registered NZKC or not, they need to be told what happened; and the Vet your pet was treated by needs to tell you exactly what was wrong with your pet, that way we all learn what to look out for. Can you ask the Vet what disease your pet was sick with? We would all be grateful for the information I'm sure.

breeders gone mad

I am very sorry that you have got caught but this is not a respectful Breeder and if so you can go further as if they are NZKC reg or are they a backyard breeder you can go to the small claims court. Dally

sick how

when you say the girl had breed a sick dog. please define sick. we have just had a similar experience with a whippet cross. at 18 months we could no longer persever. Over night the fur would go and the welts wept. We used al manner of anti allergy this and that and the prednozone the vet perscibed had the effect of him losing bladder control fast.
